The leaders make Pokemon popular again has done an excellent job. Pokemon was big a few years ago and has just an incredible return. A whole new generation of young people try to catch them all.
It is a very good time to be a fan of Pokemon. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS has been in the top 10 was the best-selling games for months and the Diamond and Pearl Cartoon quite popular. But why stop there? I have a vision and Pokemon, do not hesitate to borrow this idea from me, there would be a Pokemon game franchise even more dominant. I want to see a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the world of Pokémon.
Of course I know that some games online like Pokemon Crater and Pokemon Pokemon Online (POL), but these games are very simple and based on the play of the Game Boy Advance version by Pokemon. And I do not even know that Nintendo has nothing to do with them. You could be a warning be far off.
I see a World of Warcraft online game Pokemon-style. Use the same story line and play like Diamond and Pearl but put the players in a 3D cartoon. Select your avatar coach and start your adventure. Think about how cool it would be in different cities on foot, catch wild Pokemon, train them against other trainers, do gym battles, collect badges and enter tournaments and do all that in a 3D online environment you together with other Pokemon trainers. And to make it interesting, they could add some members of Team Rocket to mix. Jessie and James could Bots disadvantages that go with it and try to steal your Pokemon.
This would be a great game for the Wii online service. Pokemon Battle Revolution is out, and it is to play online in Japan, but this game is just an extension of Diamond and Pearl. Without a DS, this game is not too good. Do not they need to start with an online game brand new Pokemon.
The Nintendo Wii is the hottest selling video game console at the moment and it is selling better than the PS3 and Xbox 360 The Wii is still hard to find in the trade and will not soon change. The only weakness of the Wii seems to be a real online game, which is weak at best. Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be playable online, but their release was postponed to February. My World of Warcraft game Pokemon idea (call it Worlds of Pokemon for this article) if done right, could the game that the Wii’s online service is set to become the map.
I hope that someone at Nintendo has been working with this idea and the programmers already in the world of Pokemon are tough. Otherwise, I hope they have enough free time to read this book and be inspired.
