Well my wait is finally over, i finally managed to snap up the last copy of this game! my verdict? Outstanding! This is me playing 2 hectic online matches and lets just say what a game it was, the guy i matched against was simply amazing and broke me into a sweat trying frantically to score a goal for this video! The second match was just simply outstanding, did i win or lose? find out in this video! How much does it cost to play WII online?I have the internet connected to the WII.. How much will it cost to play online tennis (do you compete with other people online) or any other games… Do you have to have the WII Channel? How do I do this if?

Its pretty different from X-box live. Yes you can indeed web browse with via Opera to any website, but multiplayer playability will most likely be more limited then Microsoft's X-box live feature. For example, if you want to add friends to your online list, you can't just add a stranger out of the blue. You have to get their "friend code" and/or possibly wii system #. Its going to be very similar to the Nintendo DS "friend code" where if you want to play with people, you have to attain their friend code i.d. to play with them. Thats the downer, because it can be a hassle to constantly crunch in people's #'s just to play with them. But once you have them saved its a one time thing. the "friend code" was made so random people don't just add you and could possibly harm your system by sending viruses to your system and etc.

Ethernet is better because you never lose signal however you have to have a cable connect from the router to the wii. Wifi enables you to move the wii without moving internet cables but has less signal strength!

If by tennis you mean Wii Sports, you can't. Wii Sports doesn't have an online option.
You need a game that has online, such as Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

i feel ur pain, the day i got the wii i tried, 4 straight hours to figure out how to get my internet connected and it was a pain, (i have a wireless internet connection) but after a week later i called nintendo customer support (under contact tab on nintendo.com) but anyway there is an option located on the wii that either lets u connect with wireless connection OR WIRED, so i dont think there will be a problem. if it doesnt work, call customer support, best of luck!!

Otherwise you will need either a wireless router installed to create a wireless network or you must buy a Nintendo USB Wifi connector for 34.95 from http://www.nintendo.com To buy the games you will have to buy Wii Points available wherever you bought your Wii.
Make sure that you have a wireless router something G or higher for optimal performance. Go to the Wii system menu on the startup page and go to internet. Choose a connection type and search for your router. When your wii finds the router, confirm it. Then you will need to perform a connection test and system update.
